CONNECTOR SERVICE TERMS
IETA Connector Terms of Use
These terms govern access to the parent, guardian and student Connector experience supplied through an authorised institution.
Connector is a communication and access layer. Your institution, Campus or RideOS remains the source of operational education, training, payment and student records.
1. Eligibility and account access
You may use the family Connector only as an authorised parent, legal guardian or student. Institution administrators and IETA support personnel must use separate administration or support tools and are not eligible for family Connector access by virtue of their role. You must use your own IETA account and keep your device and sign-in methods secure. Access may be suspended when an institution relationship expires, is removed or cannot be verified.
2. Product-managed permission
Successful IETA Login confirms identity but does not itself grant access to child or institution data. Connector permissions come from active local relationships supplied or approved by the responsible institution. You may see only the children, modules and records assigned to your account.
3. Acceptable use
You must not attempt to access another person’s account or child record; alter URLs, identifiers or requests to bypass permissions; copy or distribute protected information without authority; interfere with security or availability; upload unlawful or harmful material; misuse support channels; or use Connector in a way that violates applicable law or institutional policy.
4. Accuracy and institution records
Connector displays information received from connected products and institutions. Questions about attendance, fees, reports, schedules, transport, documents or student details should first be directed to the institution that created the record. IETA may help diagnose transmission or display problems but does not independently certify the underlying educational record.
5. Communications and third-party services
When enabled, updates may also be delivered through Telegram, email, WhatsApp or another service. Those services have their own terms and availability. Delivery indicators do not guarantee that a message was read. Important safeguarding, emergency, payment or legal matters should be confirmed through the institution’s official channel.
6. Availability and changes
Connector may be updated, maintained, restricted or temporarily unavailable. Features depend on the institution’s plan, configuration, product connection and published data. Reasonable efforts are made to protect continuity, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
7. Privacy and security
Use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Report suspected unauthorised access promptly. IETA may log security events, revoke sessions or restrict access when necessary to protect users, institutions or the service.
8. Suspension and termination
Access may be limited or terminated when the institution relationship is inactive, these terms are breached, security is at risk, payment or licence conditions affecting the service are not met, or continued operation would be unlawful. Termination does not transfer ownership of institution records to IETA.
9. Responsibility and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Connector is provided as a software service and is not a substitute for official institutional, medical, financial, transport, safeguarding or emergency advice. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Changes and governing requirements
These terms may be updated when the service or applicable requirements change. Continued use after an effective update indicates acceptance where permitted by law. Institution-specific agreements or mandatory legal rights may also apply.
